Position Description:
The customs analyst is responsible for verifying and processing customs documentation for immediate release. Must be able to work effectively while under pressure to meet deadlines and be able to work with other team members. There are some holidays that will be required to work.
Midnight Shift - Tuesday to Saturday - 1:00AM - 9:00AM (Working from Home)
• Customs knowledge - Experience with Air and Highway modes of transportation
• Experience handling Meat/Egg shipments, CFIA, TPL permits and other permits
• Strong knowledge of the customs tariff, regulations, and customs act
• Self-motivated with proven ability to work without supervision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Constant and persistent attention to detail essential.
• CCS designation or enrolled in an asset.
• Ability to communicate in French would be an asset.
The ideal candidate can work unsupervised, be responsible for handling a work queue and have understanding of the customs clearance procedures. The ideal candidate is reliable and can learn and adapt quickly. Experience in the customs clearance industry would be ideal. Typing must be over 40 wpm. A typing test will be sent for verification. Excel experience is required.
• 8- hour shift (one hour lunch plus two fifteen- minute breaks)
• Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM
• Training is during the day, Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
