Our client is a US-based logistics and freight brokerage company providing comprehensive transportation solutions across North America. They are focused on growth and are looking for business developers who can bring in new customer accounts and build their customer base.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a self-motivated Customer Sales Broker to prospect, develop, and bring in new business. This is a business development-focused role where you will be responsible for cold outreach, generating hot and warm leads, and securing new customer accounts. Once deals are closed, the company will take over and handle the operational execution. This role offers commission on closed deals and is ideal for someone with an existing book of business or strong sales drive.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Lead Generation
• Conduct cold outreach to potential customers via phone, email, and LinkedIn
• Generate hot and warm leads for the company to convert and manage
• Prospect new business opportunities and identify potential customers
• Build pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities
Sales & Customer Acquisition
• Present the company's logistics and transportation solutions to prospective customers
• Close deals and bring in new customer accounts
• Leverage existing book of business to generate immediate revenue (preferred)
• Negotiate and secure customer commitments
Relationship Building
• Build strong relationships with potential customers through persuasive communication
• Understand customer needs and position the company's services accordingly
• Maintain professional and consultative approach throughout the sales process
Handoff to Operations
• Once deals are closed, transition accounts to the company's operations team
• Ensure smooth handoff with all relevant customer information and requirements
• Continue to identify new business opportunities while operations manages existing accounts
