Works on-site at a customer facility(s), directly coordinates, schedules and participates in work with the customer to comply with the “partnership agreement.”  Troubleshoots by investigating problems related to product performance and application specific criteria. Makes complex and independent seal and equipment evaluations, selections and recommendations. Travel as required to perform duties and work directly with customer.
•Do daily equipment inspections, identify issues that can affect reliability, safety and environment.
•Report issues find with the relevant department and ensure Work Orders are created to correct/address the issue.
•Ensure equipment commissioning and start-up procedures are available and is followed.
•Hands-on training for mechanical seal installations.
•Hands-on training for the correct mechanical seal system operation.
•Ensure Quality Control Plan is followed during equipment strip and repair.
•Complete John Crane Work Orders in the reliability software.
•Support the Reliability Engineer to troubleshoots specific customer applications and analyzes, evaluates, and rectifies a number of John Crane products, for example, seal operation problems and failures
•Reduces inventory by establishing standards for reduction, minimizing variances found in the physical inventory and optimizing inventory levels
•Solves problems on existing installations pro-actively 
 
•Report and manage recommendations from daily inspections through the John Crane reliability software.
•Identify and recommend training needs (maintenance and operations) to the reliability engineer.
•Devise and recommend new approaches to problems encountered in assignments
•Recommends new standards and procedures on equipment inspection, repair and commissioning
•Support the reliability engineer if failure reporting and Root Cause Analysis investigations.
•Additional duties as requested.
•Graduate (preferably Mech Engineering) or career level professional
•Capable of handling multiple priorities simultaneously in a high-stress environment
•Mechanical engineering, trouble shooting
•Knowledge of labor reporting, work order variances, QAD, MFG-PRO, SAP, or equivalent
•Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as needed to meet business demands
•Excellent written and verbal business communication
•Excellent training, leadership, facilitation, influencing, negotiating, and interpersonal skills.
