Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 5 AM - 11 AM
Starting Rate: $16.00
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Pavilion Maintenance Supervisor, the custodian performs a variety of tasks required to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of Rainbow Falls (RBF) and Pavilion Aquatic Center (PAC). Work primarily takes place after the facility closes or before the facility opens. Work performed at a self controlled pace but may vary depending on the demands of the job required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Work to eliminate unsanitary conditions and maintain a clean, neat appearance throughout PAC and RBF.
Perform general custodial duties including sanitation, vacuuming, and cleaning PAC and RBF. Custodial duties include sanitation of all sinks, toilets, showers, multipurpose rooms, washrooms and shower floors, dusting, removal of trash, cleaning mirrors and counters, and general cleaning as assigned.
Performs the job safely and in compliance with district policies, procedures, work and safety rules.
Be familiar with the safe operation of any equipment necessary in accomplishing required tasks.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Safely operate mechanized equipment for shampooing, vacuuming, and buffing floors.
Restock dispensers, soap supply, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
Report safety concerns to the Pavilion Maintenance Supervisor.
Perform minor repairs as needed.
Pick up litter in front of the building as required or assigned.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of general cleaning and sanitation duties and techniques
Ability to perform physical tasks as required cleaning and sanitizing PAC and RBF.
Must understand and be able to communicate in English.
Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions.
Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with other employees.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent.
