About the Role
OpenEd, Inc. is seeking an extremely detail-oriented Curriculum Resource Specialist to serve as the internal expert and operational owner for a defined set of curriculum resources within the OpenEd marketplace.
In this role, you will become the primary subject matter expert for assigned curriculum vendors and resources. You will support students, families, vendors, and internal teams by ensuring accurate implementation of curriculum tools, assisting with learning platform navigation, and providing clear academic and operational guidance across multiple communication channels. Strong written and verbal communication skills across a wide range of audiences are essential to success in this role.
Responsibilities
Serve as the internal subject matter expert for assigned curriculum resources
Maintain deep knowledge of how each resource functions, including LMS navigation, assignments, and student experience
Support ongoing curriculum evaluation and feedback loops for assigned resources
Communicate with parents and students via email to provide guidance, troubleshooting, and curriculum support
Provide empathetic, solution-oriented communication tailored to diverse family needs and learning contexts
Ensure timely, professional, and high-quality written communication in all parent and student interactions
Communicate directly with vendors regarding platform usage, instructional design, and student experience optimization
Assist students with navigating curriculum platforms and learning management systems
Provide support for assignment completion and grading when needed
Maintain accurate information about assigned resources in internal systems (e.g., Notion, marketplace listings)
Support internal teams with questions related to assigned curriculum resources
Contribute to improvements in documentation, workflows, and internal knowledge systems
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors
Participate in weekly team meetings and collaborative planning sessions
Contribute to a positive, solution-oriented team environment
Share insights and observations from student and vendor interactions to improve systems and offerings
Additional responsibilities as assigned
Your Immediate Impact
This is a remote position ideal for a passionate educator who thrives at the intersection of education, communication, and curriculum implementation. You will become a trusted expert in assigned curriculum resources and a key bridge between vendors, students, families, and internal teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring that curriculum resources are not only available but effectively implemented, continuously improved, and fully supported in practice.
You’ll join a team of 4-6 well-respected peers who work closely together. We love our Google spreadsheets, but also rely on tools like Notion, Linear, Metabase, and HubSpot to keep organized. You’ll be given a high level of trust, but also a high level of accountability to ensure accuracy. You’ll be overseen by the Team Lead who is available to help at any time.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or alternative learning experiences in a relevant field
Current teaching license and/or homeschooling experience strongly preferred
Experience with digital learning platforms or LMS systems strongly preferred
Internal candidates encouraged
Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
Commitment to maintaining availability during traditional business hours, 40 hours per week
Must have access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam
