Job Description

The Florida Panthers enter the 2025-26 season as the two-time defending Stanley Cup Champions, having gone to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the past three seasons. The National Hockey League’s southernmost team, the Panthers have reached the postseason in a club-record six consecutive campaigns. The Panthers operate four facilities in Broward County, Florida: Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, the Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs, the new state-of-the-art practice facility Baptist Health IcePlex in Fort Lauderdale, as well as the renovated War Memorial Auditorium, which hosts concerts and events for the South Florida faithful.

An organization with deep roots in the community, the Panthers are owned by Vincent J. Viola, a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Emphasizing a culture of selfless service both on and off the ice, the Panthers pillar program ‘Heroes Among Us’ honors a United States military veteran at every game and the Florida Panthers Foundation has four main focuses including veterans affairs, children's health and education, raising awareness for the endangered Florida panther and growing youth hockey.

Job Summary:
The Curling Lead provides front line support of the Guest Experience journey for curling events including employee oversight and customer interface. Under the direction of the Guest Experience Manager, this position strives to provide the best possible experience for our clients and Guest Experience team members. While on duty, this position is available to Curling Instructors to attend to immediate issues as they arise and communicates as appropriate with the Guest Experience Manager and other members of the Baptist Health IcePlex management team.

Job Description:
•Takes the lead in overseeing curling events, including oversight and direction of Curling Instructors.
•Teaches basic knowledge of rules, safety, etiquette, and game play.
•Prepares of ice for curling events, including pebbling, cleaning and nipping.
•Supervises, trains, and schedules part-time Curling Instructors.
•Assists with set up and breakdown, ensuring all equipment is put in proper placements on and off the ice.
•Provides stellar customer service to guests on and off ice.
•Ensure that guests are properly checked in and have signed any necessary documents, including but not limited to waivers, rental agreements, etc.
•Demonstrates and presents safety briefing to group(s) before activity.
•Ensures that incident reports are completed and submitted as needed.
•Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
•Must require availability for a variety of hours, including weekdays, nights and weekends.
•Must have strong communication skills, be detailed and possess excellent problem-solving skills.
•Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
•Must be able to handle fast-paced, cold environments and multiple tasks at once.
•Ability to adapt and work with people of varying ages and abilities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt part-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
