Position Overview:
The Cubiscan Operator is responsible for operating a dimensioning machine (Cubiscan) to capture accurate measurements—length, width, height, and weight—of inventory items. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that dimensional data is correctly entered into our inventory system to support warehouse operations and customer accuracy. Success in this role requires the ability to work independently, stay focused during repetitive tasks, and consistently follow standardized processes.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate the Cubiscan machine to scan and record item dimensions.
Accurately input measurement data into the inventory system.
Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to coordinate measurement efforts and resolve any item issues.
Communicate daily with the Lead and Supervisor regarding task progress, challenges, or inconsistencies.
Ensure measurement processes follow established guidelines for quality and consistency.
Qualifications:
Acute attention to detail and accuracy.
Basic computer skills (data entry using simple software).
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience in a shipping, logistics, or warehouse environment preferred.
Ability to stay focused during repetitive tasks.
Proactive mindset- ability to spot and report inconsistencies or problems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to climb ladders up to 16 feet tall.
Working Conditions:
Warehouse environment with moderate noise from power industrial trucks.
