Turner & Townsend is seeking a CSA Estimator to support cost management and estimating services across major capital programs. This role focuses on Civil, Structural, and Architectural (Core & Shell) estimating for large‑scale data center and high‑tech industrial developments, including multi‑building campus expansions, new greenfield facilities, and ongoing upgrades across an extensive national portfolio.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in CSA estimating and experience supporting major construction programs in mission‑critical sectors such as data centers, high‑tech manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and cost plans, including development and presentation of final cost plans.
• Estimate across all project phases; conceptual, programming, and detailed design.
• Support bid reviews, including evaluating contractor proposals and preparing comparative analyses.
• Contribute to benchmarking efforts using internal and external cost data across similar project types.
• Participate in value engineering (VE) workshops and help identify cost‑saving and optimization opportunities.
• Support feasibility studies and assist with procurement and tender documentation.
• Lead procurement activities including prequalification, bid list development, bid analysis, bid reports, and contract documentation.
• Perform cost checks and valuations on large or complex projects, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and share leads with internal leadership.
• Recommend improvements to internal estimating and cost‑management tools, processes, and best practices.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role and must be adhered to where applicable.

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience preparing CSA estimates for large-scale construction programs.
• Demonstrated experience in Civil, Structural, and Architectural (Core & Shell) estimating and solid understanding of related design disciplines.
• Experience in mission‑critical sectors such as data centers, high‑tech manufacturing, industrial, healthcare, or large commercial projects is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar estimating/technical software preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with CostX (2D/3D takeoff, assemblies, and workbooks) is advantageous.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and effective in a collaborative team environment.
• Solid understanding of construction procurement methods.
• Experience advising on value engineering and value management.
• Exposure to business development or client‑facing activities.
