About This Role
We are in search of an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our Creditor team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable conducting outbound calls daily, navigating challenging conversations with borrowers, and is driven, attentive and adaptable. If you have a balance of persistence and empathy in your communication, you will thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities
Contact borrowers via phone, email, and other avenues to collect overdue debts.
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers to resolve outstanding debts.
Help borrowers understand the debt recovery process and help them navigate all available options.
Document all communications and payment arrangements accurately.
Follow up with borrowers to ensure arrangements are upheld.
Prioritize excellent customer service while adhering to policies, procedures and goals.
Collaborate with other team members to share best practices and strategies.
Support client and lawyer reporting requirements.
Meet weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators.
What You Bring
Experience: 1-2 years of customer service experience, including de-escalation and navigating challenging conversations. Experience in the financial industry, with inbound/outbound calls, or debt recovery considered an asset.
Skills: Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and communication skills with demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding.
Mindset: Goal-oriented, critical thinker, problem solver, and team player with a positive attitude excited to contribute to a collaborative culture.
Tech Proficiency: Adept at using technology such as Outlook and Microsoft Office, with a talent for learning new software quickly.
