We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join our growing risk management team. This role is ideal for professionals with 2–6 years of experience who possess strong expertise in risk analysis, credit risk evaluation, SQL, and portfolio performance analysis. The selected candidate will play a critical role in assessing creditworthiness, monitoring portfolio health, and enabling data-driven decision-making to minimize financial risk.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive credit risk assessments for individuals, SMEs, or corporate clients by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, cash flows, and market conditions.
• Develop and implement risk analysis frameworks to evaluate borrower profiles and identify potential credit risks.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, including delinquency trends, default rates, exposure levels, and risk-adjusted returns.
• Use SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from internal systems and databases to generate actionable insights.
• Prepare detailed risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders, highlighting key risk indicators and portfolio health.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as underwriting, collections, and finance to improve credit policies and risk strategies.
• Support the development and validation of credit risk models, scorecards, and risk-based pricing strategies.
• Identify early warning signals and recommend corrective actions to mitigate potential losses.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory guidelines.
Required Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of credit risk concepts, including probability of default (PD), loss given default (LGD), and exposure at default (EAD).
• Proven experience in risk analysis and credit evaluation within banking, fintech, NBFCs, or financial services.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying, transformation, and analysis.
• Hands-on experience in portfolio performance analysis and risk monitoring.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into meaningful insights.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications such as FRM, CFA (Level 1 or above), or equivalent will be a plus.
