Credit Manager

The Credit Manager is responsible for evaluating and approving or denying loan applications, ensuring that all credit policies are followed, and managing the credit portfolio of the bank. This role involves assessing the risk associated with lending and making decisions that protect the bank while supporting clients' needs.

Requirements:
Responsibilities

• Oversee the credit approval process, including evaluating creditworthiness of clients.
• Develop and implement credit policies and guidelines to manage risk.
• Manage the bank's credit portfolio, ensuring loans are sound and compliant with internal policies and regulations.
• Review and approve or decline loan applications based on financial statements, credit reports, and risk assessments.
• Monitor loan performance and address potential delinquencies or defaults.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Risk, Legal, Collections) to ensure sound credit decisions.
• Prepare regular reports on loan performance, risk, and portfolio health.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients to address their credit needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Provide guidance and training to junior staff in the credit department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in credit risk management or banking.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• In-depth knowledge of credit regulations and banking practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Excellent in english
• Proficiency in financial analysis tools and software.
