What you’ll achieve
As a Credit Consultant in a Credit team at the heart of our growing and changing business, you will be in charge with providing analysis and interpretation of the customers’ financial condition for proper evaluation of risk and the recommendation of proper credit limits for our customers across the Asia-Pacific region. There will be a strong interaction with sales, legal and the operations teams. Ultimately, you are responsible for developing, recommending and implementing policies and procedures for investigating and evaluating new and existing customer creditworthiness and extending or revoking credit lines/limits.
You will:
• Ensure the highest standard of credit quality through the structure, monitoring and control of credit proposals
• Ensure that credit standards are maintained through adherence to credit policy and procedures
• Prepares formal credit reviews/write-ups and renders credit applications on new and existing accounts
• Conduct and present regular portfolio updates to the Chief Credit Officer for APJC
• Provides support for the APJC credit function in terms of any ad hoc testing, reporting or training requirements which may arise

Essential Requirements
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience and a proven track record with a credit analysis / underwriting background, preferably in a leasing or banking environment.
• Excellent financial analysis and credit underwriting skills combined with a strong business and industry awareness.
• Proficient language skills - competence in Japanese and English necessary, and competency in at least one other Asia-Pacific language would be a distinct advantage.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, flexible and capable of working on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
• Experience in supporting process change is important. Experience in negotiating legal contract terms and conditions for large corporate transactions is essential.
• Business level proficiency in both Japanese and English is required.
Desirable Requirements
• Degree preferably in economics/finance/business/accounting or other relevant discipline, and/or equivalent professional qualification.
