The Credit & Collections Analyst is responsible for supporting credit risk evaluation, managing collections activities, and ensuring accurate financial documentation for customer accounts. This role works closely with Sales, Finance, and customers to balance revenue growth with sound risk management while maintaining compliance with financial and tax requirements in Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
• Receive, gather, organize, and review documentation to support credit analysis and customer credit evaluations.
• Assist with financial statement analysis to assess risk when granting or renewing credit lines for new and existing customers.
• Support the daily order release process, applying sound judgment to balance risk management with sales and customer service needs.
• Manage collections activities, including: following up on overdue payments, reconciling customer accounts, investigating and resolving billing disputes
• Identify and track incoming customer payments, ensuring accurate application in financial systems and preparing reports for internal controls, audits, and tax requirements.
• Maintain and update documentation required to issue “Complementos de Pago” (electronic proof of payments required under Mexican tax regulations).
• Prepare and issue Complementos de Pago twice per month in accordance with Mexican tax law.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve credit processes, payment tracking, and collections efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable, or collections.
Experience analyzing financial statements and assessing customer credit risk.
Familiarity with Mexican tax documentation requirements, including Complementos de Pago.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and finance leadership.
Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
