WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Credentialing Specialist , Full-time
Location: On-site Arlington Heights
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
Review individual provider and/or facility location files for appropriate documentation required for credentialing process
Coordinate re-credentialing applications and conduct document research
Submit applications to credentialing manager for review
Review applications for completeness and confidential information collected, verification and documentation in accordance with policy and procedure
Communicate with providers and field associates regarding credentialing information and status updates
Initiate and follow through on all aspects of credentialing process, including initial and follow up credentialing, for all insurances our facility is contracted with
Monitor license and credential expirations by maintaining continuous credentialing and re-credentialing of all providers and/or locations
Collaborate with credentialing management in efforts to continue streamlining and updating of the credentialing process
Perform all other duties as assigned
Ability to alternate between prolonged periods sitting, frequent standing, lifting, reaching, stooping. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs

Multitasking and time management skills, with ability to prioritize tasks
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate
Knowledge of medical provider credentialing and accreditation principles, policies, procedures and documentation
Prior credentialing experience performing similar duties in a medical setting
Advanced computer skills utilizing Word and Excel, emphasis on spreadsheeting and database management
Solid understanding of medical terminologies
