Crane Operator

Job Title: Crane Operator

Must reside within the Greater Richmond Area to apply.

Responsibilities:

Operate mobile cranes, primarily 75-110 Rough Terrain cranes lay-down yard to facilitate the safe and efficient loading/unloading of large equipment, such as a HVAC condensers, chillers, generators, transformers, etc.

Operate other heavy equipment such as lulls and forklifts.

Operator is responsible for yard layout management and lift planning.

Lift, move, and position materials and equipment using the crane.

Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.

Inspect equipment before each use to ensure proper functioning.

Lead and conduct daily pre-lift safety briefings.

Communicate with team members to coordinate lifting operations.

Perform routine maintenance (i.e. grease all areas, maintain cleanliness of crane, coordinate maintenance with 3rd party technician as needed, etc.)

Candidate shall have a reasonable commute to Sandston, VA and have reliable transportation to the job site.

Assist with shipping and receiving tasks in the warehouse as needed.

Qualifications:

Valid NCCCO or NCCER crane operator certification/license REQUIRED.

Experience operating forklift.

Experience in Crane & Heavy Equipment operation (3+ years preferred).

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to crane operation.

Ability to formulate a lifting plan.

Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members.

Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor and operate heavy machinery.

Attention to detail to ensure precise positioning of materials and equipment.
