Position Title: CPR Instructor (Pittsburgh and surrounding regions)
Position Type: Per Diem; Hours are based on area training needs and instructor availability.
Schedule: Weekdays, both morning and afternoon availability. Weekends and evenings as needed.
Location: Training sites in Pittsburgh, Altoona and Johnstown.
Compensation: $30/hour; plus, mileage reimbursement (60+ miles, round trip). Reimbursement for tolls and parking will also be provided.

Summary of Position:
The primary responsibility of each Instructor is to conduct in person American
Heart Association, Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Heartsaver CPR AED/First Aid
trainings. Instructors also must ensure that each student has an enjoyable, productive, challenging, and meaningful experience.
Essential Responsibilities:
Conduct First Aid and CPR training classes for individuals and group
Follow established AHA lesson plans and instructional materials for courses
Provide clear and concise explanations of CPR & First Aid techniques and procedures
Demonstrate proper techniques for administering life-saving skills
Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage participants and facilitate
learning
Create a positive and supportive learning environment
Assess participant performance and provide feedback for improvement
Stay up-to-date with current guidelines and practices
Maintain responsibility for instruction and classroom management
Capable of tracking attendance and reporting each training session to the
Regional Coordinator and/or Director
Qualifications and Experience:
CPR Certification (Required)
Valid PA driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle (Required)
CPR Instructor Certification (Preferred)
AHA Instructor Certification (Highly Preferred)
Teaching or adult education/training experience (Preferred)
