We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to oversee audit engagements and lead high-performing teams in Fremont, NE. This leadership role focuses on managing the full audit lifecycle, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable auditing standards, and delivering accurate financial reporting for clients.
The ideal candidate is a licensed CPA with progressive audit experience and a demonstrated ability to mentor staff, manage risk, and maintain strong client relationships. This hybrid role requires periodic onsite presence in Fremont and offers the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, growth-focused audit practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct and manage audit engagements from planning and risk assessment through final reporting
• Review financial statements, audit documentation, and supporting workpapers for accuracy and compliance
• Ensure adherence to U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and internal control frameworks
• Supervise, train, and mentor audit seniors and staff accountants
• Identify financial reporting risks and recommend process and control improvements
• Serve as the primary contact for audit clients and key stakeholders
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables
• Support operational efficiencies and quality control initiatives within the audit department
Requirements:
• Active CPA license (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of progressive audit experience, including supervisory responsibilities
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and internal control standards
• Experience in public accounting, internal audit, or regulated industries preferred
• Proficiency in audit software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Ability to work onsite in Fremont, NE as part of a hybrid schedule
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical abilities
• Proven success managing multiple concurrent engagements
