The School of Religious Studies will be hiring one course lecturer to teach RELG 309 World Religions & the Cultures They Create for the Winter 2026 semester.

This course addresses the constitution and mutual entanglements of selected religions and cultures originating and thriving in varied regional contexts. It focuses on highlighting the symbolic (visual, aural) expressivity of religions via ritual, myth, and rational speculation and its impact on high and popular cultures.

• Minimum of a Ph.D. in religious studies, or PhD advanced candidacy.

• Evidence of superior teaching ability, in the form of prior teaching.

• The candidate's area of specialization should be as close as possible to that of the course being offered.

Ce cours examine les questions et les personnalités qui, en Europe et dans les îles britanniques, ont contribué aux changements ecclésiastiques et sociaux au cours du XVIe siècle et au début du XVIIe siècle.

• Au minimum un doctorat en études religieuses ou un statut de candidat avancé au doctorat.

• Preuve d'une capacité pédagogique supérieure, sous la forme d'une expérience préalable dans l'enseignement.

• Le domaine de spécialisation du candidat doit être aussi proche que possible de celui du cours proposé.
