EDTL 607 - Language and Policy in Quebec Education

Structure and organization of education in Quebec considered from historical, political, language, social, administrative and legal perspectives. Enables students to contribute to the educational system in their roles as leaders of educational thought and change. All addressed through the development of professional competencies (Online Course)

Teaching Qualification Requirements:

Education 

• A PhD (in exceptional cases, PhD candidates and master teachers with an MA with extensive experience will be considered).

• A teaching degree or equivalent

Experience 

• Expert knowledge of course content

• Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP)

• Familiarity with the professional competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation

• Previous successful teaching similar course(s) to pre-service teachers an asset

• Experience teaching in the Quebec school system 

• Previous experience designing, developing and teaching online courses

Other 

• A commitment to working with a team of committed and engage instructors 

• Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date

• A commitment to working collaboratively in planning and delivering the course, to achieve l’approche programme (as mandated by CAPFE)
