Role Overview
For our Italian entity, we are looking for a Country Finance Manager. In this role, you are the financial navigator for Country Management that executes financial control from a country perspective to drive local financial performance and enhance decision-making. You act as the contact person for finance, tax, and statutory related matters in your country for both the Financial Shared Services (FSSC) and your local country management. You are responsible for providing relevant, timely, accurate, compliant and complete (non-)financial management information, and for preparing both internal and external (regulatory) reporting to all relevant stakeholders within your Country organisation. Through financial analyses, you provide insight and expertise, and work closely with Group Financial Controller to ensure financials are provided with the correct business interpretation.
Key responsibilities
● To monitor the cash flow and the financial position of the country
● To be responsible for budgeting / forecasting
● To be responsible for local / country non-project, future related risks and developments (which can impact the business)
● To ensure accurate and timely management reporting for the country
● To manage local administration
● To manage local taxes (e.g. income tax, VAT, and withholding tax)
● To ensure finalisation of financial statements
● To ensure compliance with the Deerns Integrated Risk Management Framework and (local) laws and regulations
● To ensure accurate completion of statutory accounts
● To provide expert advice on local Finance and compliance matters
● To ensure accurate completion of tax returns and tax filing of the local entity
● To monitor changes in tax legislation, oversee difficult tax regions and ensure close alignment with the Group Financial Controller
● To manage and coordinate internal/external auditors
● To manage and coordinate with external tax advisors
