Costumed Mascot Performer for Meet & Greet

CAMP is a Family Experience Company launched in 2018, known for our one-of-a-kind shop/play hybrid experience at physical locations across the country. Each CAMP store features rotating themed experiences where families come to play, explore, and create unforgettable memories together. We believe that play connects us all, and at CAMP, play is bigger, bubblier, funnier, fuzzier, slimier, and sillier than anywhere else.

What is the Role?

This is a Temporary/Contracted Role from April 15th to April 19th

We are looking for a Costumed Mascot Performer to perform in an upcoming Character Meet & Greet at CAMP in Tysons Corner.

Pay Rate: $22.00 hourly

Role Requirements:

• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK THE FOLLOWING DAYS/SHIFTS:

• Wednesday, April 15th - 10 am to 5 pm

• Thursday, April 16th - 10 am to 5 pm

• Friday, April 17th - 10 am to 5 pm

• Saturday, April 18th - 10 am to 5 pm

• Sunday, April 19th - 10 am to 5 pm

• HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS TO BE ABLE TO FIT INTO MASCOT COSTUME: MUST BE BETWEEN 5’8” ft - 5’10” and size M - XL

• This is fully costumed, including a bodysuit to be worn underneath the costume and a full headpiece

• The Mascot costume is full body and head; wearing the costume is an essential function of the position

• Must be skilled at movement and dance

• Some other things to be aware of:

• Mascots must never speak in costume, but rather communicate with the public through body language, gestures and the support of the Mascot Handler.

• The performer must be tall enough for clear visibility through the eye openings.

• Note: There is some flexibility with sizing; however, for the most animated and expressive performance, performers who are 5’9” and above will have the easiest time in this costume.

• Mascots must never stand still and keep up the animation at all times to make magic happen!

• Applying force to the mascot costume may damage it - must handle with care during use.

• Mascots must always be aware of their surroundings with the support of the Mascot Handler and with the safety of guests and team as the top priority.

• This costume includes a built-in fan that inflates portions of the suit, which may limit audibility and make it difficult to hear while inside. Performers must be comfortable working under these conditions.

• Must be prepared to collaborate closely with the Mascot Handler to establish clear, safe communication procedures that ensure the safety and well-being of both the team and our guests.

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
