Role Overview
We are hiring a QS Procurement Lead to drive end-to-end procurement strategy for large-scale data centre / mission-critical projects. This role will focus on commercial procurement, tender management, and contract award across high-value CSA and MEP packages.
You will play a key role in ensuring cost-effective sourcing, contract compliance, and timely procurement delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced project environment.
 
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Planning
• Lead procurement strategy, sourcing plans, and package structuring
• Manage trade packaging across:• CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural)
• MEP (HVAC, Electrical, ELV, Fire Protection)
• Align procurement timelines with project programme and delivery milestones
• Drive value engineering, cost optimisation, and market benchmarking
Tendering & Bid Management
• Manage full tender lifecycle: RFQ / RFP, tender issuance, bid analysis, and award
• Conduct commercial bid evaluations, cost comparisons, and benchmarking
• Lead contract negotiations with contractors and suppliers
• Ensure clarity on scope, pricing, specifications, and risk allocation
Contracting & Commercial Management
• Draft and manage contracts, subcontracts, and procurement documentation
• Work with contract frameworks such as FIDIC, NEC, bespoke agreements
• Maintain alignment with cost plans, budgets, and financial targets
• Track procurement commitments and ensure cost control governance
MEP-Focused Procurement
• Manage procurement of key MEP systems:• HVAC / Cooling systems (CRAC, CRAH, chillers)
• Electrical systems (MV/LV, UPS, generators)
• Data centre infrastructure and specialist vendors
• Coordinate closely with engineering and design teams to ensure technical-commercial alignment
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
• Build and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and supply chain partners
• Collaborate with cost managers, project managers, consultants, and engineers
• Act as the key commercial interface during procurement and contract award phases
Governance & Compliance
• Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and governance frameworks
• Maintain accurate documentation for tendering, evaluation, and contract approvals
• Drive best practices in procurement processes and efficiency improvements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering, or related field
• 6–10 years’ experience in procurement / commercial roles within construction or infrastructure
• Strong experience managing CSA & MEP procurement packages
• Proven track record in:• Tendering / RFQ / RFP management
• Contract negotiation & administration
• Cost planning & cost control
• Familiarity with FIDIC / NEC contracts
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
