Job Description

Scorpios Bodrum is seeking a Cost Controller that will assume a pivotal role in managing financial operations by ensuring effective cost control measures are in place. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and optimize the company's expenditures, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines while maintaining financial stability. You will play a key role in analyzing costs, identifying areas for cost-saving opportunities, and implementing strategies to enhance the company's profitability.

Responsibilities

Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices. Reconciles processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.

Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Analyses costs associated with procurement, operations, and other expenditures, seeking opportunities for cost optimization. Conducts regular cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes and initiatives.

Maintains historical records by filing documents. Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.

Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Developing cost-efficient solutions to implement changes.

Implementing accounting software and automating cost control systems.

Study, analyse and report on all variances relating to costs and inventory.

Define minimum and maximum stock levels, par stock management systems.

Supervise the daily receiving and storekeeping activities.

Perform the physical count of beverage stocks and month-end inventory.

Prepare and verify reports i.e. officer & entertainment checks.

Work closely with Purchasing Department to monitor for all pending or partial deliveries.

Requirements

Proficient in English

At least 2 years of experience in a similar role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for efficient collaboration with team members, cross-departmental liaisons and management
