Overview of the Role
The Corporate Trainer is responsible for assessing the training needs of employees, developing tailored training programs, delivering engaging training sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. This role plays a critical part in enhancing employee performance and supporting the organisation’s strategic goal.
Main duties include:
People Leadership
• Conduct Trainee Performance Reviews and provide coaching when necessary
• Use effective management techniques (SLII and One Minute Manager) to correct and align direct reports' behaviours to the company’s core values
• Lead by example as Culture Ambassadors to live and inspire the core values
Needs Assessment
• Conduct surveys, interviews, and assessments to identify training needs.
• Analyse skill gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.
Program Design and Development
• Develop instructional materials such as manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules
• Customise training programs to address the specific needs of different teams and roles.
Training Delivery
• Lead in-person and virtual training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
• Employ various training methodologies to engage learners effectively.
Evaluation and Feedback
• Use metrics and feedback tools to assess the success of training programs.
• Continuously improve training programs based on feedback and performance data.
Administrative Duties
• Work with Exec and SMT, HR and other stakeholders to align training initiatives with organisational goals.
• Support Team Members in in their career development plans.
• Maintain detailed records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes.
• Prepare reports on training progress and effectiveness for line managers.
• Conduct basic IT troubleshooting before escalating any IT issue and escalating and following up on IT tickets raised.
• Execute processes needed in case of team member’s termination, disposal, offboarding, or endorsements to operations.
• Attend L&D weekly meetings and other meetings where attendance is mandatory and necessary.
• Keep abreast of training trends, developments and best practices.
