The candidate will join the Corporate Lending Germany team, based in Frankfurt, which is responsible for the marketing, structuring and execution of loan transactions with BBVA’s corporate and financial institution clients in Germany, Austria, Belgium, The Netherlands & Switzerland (across large and small/midcap segments).
The candidate’s primary role will be to support the senior team members throughout the marketing, origination and execution processes for syndicated and bilateral loans, including acquisition and sustainable financing.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct research on clients’ business activities, credit worthiness and financial strategies, analyzing their financial performance, market trends, and recent transactions.
• Maintain and update databases on comparable deals and relevant loan market activity.
• Promote corporate lending products such as syndicated loans, club loans, bilateral loans, sustainable loans and acquisition financing.
• Prepare proposals for business and credit committees.
• Assist with structuring and delivering tailored lending solutions, preparing corporate lending proposals, pitch books, and other marketing materials to win mandates.
• Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., relationship managers, risk, legal, compliance, tax, sustainable finance, debt and rating advisory, market and administrative teams) and external stakeholders (e.g., clients, banks, and legal counsel) to ensure smooth execution and proper booking of transactions.
• Draft legal documents such as term sheets and mandate letters, and review facility agreements, fee letters and legal opinion.
• Oversee the closing of transactions including signing and booking processes.
• Prepare management presentations and activity reports.

Qualification & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in loan origination, relationship management, and/or credit risk management.
• Previous experiences in loan products is a plus.
Knowledge & Skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Languages
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• German is a significant plus.
• Spanish is a plus.
Other Skills
• Strong analytical and financial skills with the ability to interpret financial statements (balance sheet, income and cash flow statements).
• Self-motivated with a structured approach and the ability to synthesize information effectively.
• Attention to detail when preparing documents, reports, or updating internal databases.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teams across different locations within BBVA.
