At our headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark, research facilities in Heidelberg, Germany, and additional offices across Europe and the United States, we are advancing programs in our Endocrinology Rare Disease and Oncology portfolios. We also collaborate with partners on the development of TransCon-based products in other therapeutic areas and markets.
We are seeking a passionate Corporate Legal Counsel to join our growing team. As a key member of the Ascendis Pharma team, you will play a crucial role in the area of Corporate Legal and Transactions in Group Legal. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborate with cross-functional, global teams working together to achieve extraordinary results.
You will be joining the Group Legal team at our corporate headquarters in Hellerup, Denmark currently consisting of 11 colleagues, and report directly to Anders Carstensen, Head of Corporate Legal and Transactions who is based in Hellerup, Denmark. You will also be based in Hellerup, Denmark.
Your key responsibilities will be:
• Review and draft various types of contracts.
• Provide corporate legal advice, including supporting the establishment and maintenance of legal entities in EU and US, drafting corporate documentation, coordinating with external legal advisors, and supporting our commercial management teams abroad within corporate legal matters.
• Support various types of corporate and capital markets transactions.
• Support and advise on existing and future licence arrangements, including drafting, negotiation and ongoing management.
• Support and collaborate with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, Tax, HR and Incentives, Compliance, Regulatory and Alliance Management departments as well as external partners and advisors.
Qualifications and Skills:
You hold a relevant academic degree – preferably a Master of Laws or Business Law – and minimum 3 years of experience within corporate law and contract drafting.

Travel: 0-10 days per year.
