We’re in search of an experienced Corporate Law Clerk to join our team in Queretaro. The Legal Assistant will have an immediate and lasting impact on our operations, guiding us toward positive outcomes with comprehensive legal research, document creation, and database maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal advice and guidance on corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters affecting the company.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant Mexico laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, contracts, and other legal documents with high attention to detail.
• Represent the company in court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials as required.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with applicable laws, industry regulations, and corporate policies.
• Work closely with various internal departments to provide legal risk assessments and solutions.
• Support corporate governance, risk management, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Monitor industry trends in construction, development, logistics, and leasing to provide informed legal insights.
• Liaise with external counsel when necessary, ensuring effective legal representation for the company.
Requirements:
• Lawyer degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Queretaro.
• 2+ years of experience managing a law practice, with a preference for candidates seeking a transition to a structured, corporate environment.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills, with excellent analytical abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of Mexico laws and regulations, particularly in corporate, commercial, and real estate law.
• Experience attending court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials.
• Industry knowledge in construction, development, logistics, and leasing is an asset.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
