Corporate Accountant (Taxation)

Tricon is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our taxation team. The candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect tax compliance, advisory, tax planning, and litigation support. This role demands strong technical knowledge of Indian tax laws, GST, with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate tax filings and strategic tax efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Taxation:

Prepare and review Income Tax returns, Transfer Pricing.

Handle tax audits as per Section 44AB and related compliance.

Compute advance tax and manage self-assessment tax payments.

Assist in tax assessments, scrutiny proceedings, and representation before tax authorities.

Advise on tax planning strategies to optimize tax liability.

Indirect Taxation (GST):

Ensure GST compliance including return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9).

Handle GST audits, reconciliations, and input tax credit (ITC) management.

Assist in GST registrations, refund applications, and litigation matters.

Interpret GST laws and circulars for business applicability.

International Taxation & Transfer Pricing (if applicable):

Assist in DTAA interpretation, Form 15CA/CB issuance.

Support transfer pricing documentation, compliance, and filings.

Stay updated with BEPS, OECD, and global tax developments.

Other Responsibilities:

Liaise with auditors, consultants, and tax authorities.

Keep up with latest amendments in tax laws and notify relevant stakeholders.

Draft and review legal documents, tax opinions, and representations.

This role will interface with senior management, FP&A, risk, treasury, human resources, external consultants, and the commercial trading team, each with members globally.

Strong interpersonal & good communication skills are required.

Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required

Post CA Qualification minimum 2 years in Taxation at a mid to large company.

Strong technical proficiency in Excel required

Familiarity with business intelligence tools and ERP systems (JD Edwards and Oracle BI Enterprise Edition a plus)
