FORTUNE 500 MANUFACTURING COMPANY
Prior Public Accounting: Big 4, Upper Tier, Large Regional, CPA or Parts Preferred
Under minimum direct supervision, this position provides assurance that subsidiaries in North America are maintained in accordance with IFRS and Group reporting guidelines for assigned functional areas. Additionally, this position ensures the timely analysis of assigned general ledger accounts and reporting of assigned companies within the reporting system. In particular, the position holds:
• Responsibility for coordination of the development of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting of selected balance sheet categories including the posting of the respective product for affiliates of the region North America.
• Analyses, communication and coordination of reporting matters related with affiliates within the region of North America. This includes follow up on requests of external audit.
• Manage assigned accounting or finance projects or parts thereof as assigned by management.
• Responsible for the monthly accounting and closing process for subsidiaries. Will act as primary team member for Corporate Accounting in the oversight of this Company with the Business Unit personnel and Business Accounting Platform.
• Responsible for development of annual footnote package and balance sheet / profit and loss analysis for subsidiaries.
• Functional responsibility for preparation of annual footnote and annual balance sheet analysis relative to assigned affiliates.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• CPA preferred.
• 2 + years of diversified accounting experience,
• Two years public accounting required.
• Working knowledge of IFRS principles combined with an intermediate knowledge of US-GAAP required
• Demonstrates strong analytical skills, follow up skills, planning and organization ability, and information monitoring skills.
• Demonstrates concern for all aspects of the job as well as accurately checking routine and non-routine process to ensure all details are covered
• Has the ability to quickly adapt to change, is capable of prioritizing work as well as working methodically to meet deadlines
• Good written, verbal communication and teamwork skills.
$75K to $85K plus Bonus
