Sous la supervision du chargé de projet, le ou la coordonnateur.trice de chantier joue un rôle clé dans la gestion quotidienne des activités sur le chantier. Fort(e) de son expérience en bâtiment, il ou elle assure le suivi technique, administratif et financier des travaux, tout en veillant au respect des plans, des échéanciers et des normes de qualité et de sécurité.

Participer activement aux rencontres de coordination de chantier

Assurer le suivi global des activités sur le chantier (avancement, enjeux, priorités)

Compiler les données techniques et administratives nécessaires à la production des rapports journaliers et hebdomadaires

Assurer le suivi des extra (travaux supplémentaires) et contribuer au suivi financier du projet

Effectuer l’analyse de plans et devis afin de soutenir l’exécution des travaux

Assurer le suivi technique et la gestion d’ingénierie des projets

Participer à l’élaboration et au suivi des échéanciers

Coordonner les activités entre les différents intervenants (sous-traitants, client, équipe interne)

Réaliser diverses tâches administratives liées au projet

Formation ou expérience pertinente en gestion de projets de construction, génie civil ou génie du bâtiment

Bonne maîtrise des outils informatiques (Excel, MS Project)

Capacité à lire, analyser et interpréter des plans et devis

Sens de l’organisation et capacité à gérer plusieurs dossiers simultanément

Bonnes habiletés de communication et esprit d’équipe

Rigueur et souci du suivi (technique et financier)

Under the supervision of the project manager, the construction site coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day management of site activities. Drawing on their experience in the building industry, they oversee the technical, administrative, and financial aspects of the project, while ensuring compliance with plans, schedules, and quality and safety standards.

What does a site coordinator do?

Actively participate in site coordination meetings

Oversee all site activities (progress, issues, priorities)

Compile the technical and administrative data needed to produce daily and weekly reports

Monitor extra work (additional tasks) and contribute to the project’s financial oversight

Analyze plans and specifications to support the execution of the work

Provide technical oversight and engineering management for projects

Participate in the development and monitoring of schedules

Coordinate activities among various stakeholders (subcontractors, client, internal team)

Perform various administrative tasks related to the project

What does it take to be a site coordinator?

Relevant education or experience in construction project management, civil engineering, or building engineering
