About the Role
The Ottawa Senators are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Demand Generation Coordinator to support the execution of marketing campaigns that drive fan interest, ticket sales, and engagement for all Capital Sports & Entertainment properties. This role is ideal for an analytical and data-minded marketer who is eager to grow in a fast-paced sports environment. The ideal candidate will possess a highly technical skill set that can assist in campaign setup, audience targeting, performance tracking, data segmentation, reporting, and cross-functional coordination to ensure consistent and effective fan outreach across paid media and email marketing channels. This role helps turn data into clarity – providing insights that drive smarter marketing decisions, improve efficiency, and support revenue growth by understanding how fans discover, engage with, and purchase from the team.

Key Responsibilities
Assist in building & maintaining email marketing calendars for all Capital Sports & Entertainment entities (including Ottawa Senators, Ottawa Team Threads, Ottawa Black Bears, Sensplex, and Canadian Tire Centre).
Build and deploy email campaigns end-to-end within marketing automation platforms (e.g., template creation, QA testing, scheduling, and sends), ensuring best practices in deliverability and rendering across devices.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of all paid media campaigns. Including, Premium & Group Sales, Ticketing, Merchandise, 50/50, Events & Promotions team, and the Creative Department.
Work closely with external agencies and vendors on varies projects across branding, paid media, and other projects related to the Demand Generation team.
Curate content for Senators’ email programs, including but not limited to working on calendarization, contests, and more.
Analyze customer data and behavioral insights to refine segmentation, personalization strategies, and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
Monitor and report on key email marketing metrics (deliverability, engagement, conversion), identifying trends and providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
Support data hygiene and CRM management, including list maintenance, data integrity, and compliance with CASL and privacy regulations.
Collaborate with analytics and digital teams to implement tracking (UTMs, tagging, event tracking) and ensure accurate measurement of campaign performance.
Assist in building automated email journeys and nurture programs (e.g., welcome series, abandoned cart, re-engagement campaigns).
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a relevant role
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Familiarity with digital marketing tools (e.g., email platforms, project management platforms, CRM systems)
Basic understanding of marketing analytics and reporting, experience in GA4 as an asset.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace

This role falls within a base salary range of $45,700 to $70,000 annually, consistent with the organization’s established salary ranges. Salary ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to market data, internal equity, education, relevant experience, knowledge, and applicable skillset.
