Location: Meadowcroft, Shoreham-On-Sea
Salary: £13.70 per hour (Reviewed Annually) + weekend enhancements
Hours: 18 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 8am - 2pm)
Contract: Permanent

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Cook at Meadowcroft. What matters most is your passion for preparing wholesome, nutritious meals and your commitment to maintaining and continually improving our high standards.
As a Cook, you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents by preparing meals with care, as well as catering for our colleagues. This is a rewarding position for a Cook who enjoys creating comforting, home-style food in a warm and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook breakfast, including items such as bacon, eggs, and sausages
Cook lunch as the main meal of the day, offering two options plus puddings
Bake cakes for birthdays and special events
Ensure all meals meet the nutritional requirements of our residents
Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
Work independently and collaboratively within the care team
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Cook, ideally in healthcare or a similar environment
Knowledge of elderly nutrition and special diets
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Compassionate attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to resident wellbeing
