Our Cooks are responsible for producing the highest quality dishes, working efficiently and mastering cleanliness in their environment.
Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and senior chefs to accurately execute food orders and ensure consistent and high-caliber food preparation and presentation that meets restaurant standards.
• Ensure the highest level of hygiene, cleanliness and food safety is adhered to in the handling of food items.
• Ensure all food products are stored in appropriate containers, labeled, and rotated, to minimize waste, maximize quality, and ensure freshness.
• Respond in a positive, budget-conscious, and timely manner to all internal and external guest requests and complaints, while meeting the restaurant’s standards to exceed the guest’s expectations.
• Accurately follow all reporting procedures for accidents and incidents in the workplace.
• Adhere to all policies and guidelines, checklists, prep sheets, and par sheets, as assigned.
• Aid in meeting and exceeding department objectives.
• Consistently conduct yourself in a professional and positive manner.
• Motivate fellow staff and encourage high self-esteem and efficiency in the workplace.
• Display a positive attitude and contribute to a healthy team culture.
• Perform ad hoc duties as required to support the overall effectiveness of the kitchen team and ensure smooth operations.
• Minimum one year of prep or cooking experience is preferred.
• Excellent multi-tasking skills.
• Experience working more than one station at a time is considered an asset.
• Strong English communication skills with ability to establish and develop relationships with team members, partners, and leaders.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, control, and composure in difficult and stressful situations.
• Food Handler's certification is an asset.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Hourly Rate: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
