Job Summary
The Conveyancer is responsible for managing the legal aspects of property transactions, ensuring all conveyancing processes are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong knowledge of property law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple transactions simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
• Draft, review, and execute legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and deeds.
• Conduct thorough property searches, including title, local authority, environmental, and other relevant searches.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, local authorities, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Provide expert legal advice to clients on conveyancing matters, including obligations and risks.
• Ensure compliance with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations, professional standards, and other legal requirements.
• Monitor and progress cases to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Prepare and submit documentation for registration with the Land Registry or relevant authorities.
• Supervise and mentor junior conveyancing staff or assistants as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work
• Time management and ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously
• Proficiency with conveyancing software and case management systems
• Professional judgment and problem-solving skills
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or equivalent law degree
• Prior experience in residential conveyancing
• Experience with complex property transactions is an advantage
• Continuing professional development in conveyancing law and practice
