Your position: As a Controls Project Engineer you will closely work with Project Leader, Integration Manager, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers as a part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers. You will manage technical solution pertinent to Control engineering and support sales in bid and contract phase. During execution phase you will work towards the successful completion of one or more projects in an international environment. Tasks and responsibilities: As Controls Project Engineer you design and program PLC controls for our material handling systems (In the Airports domain), meeting high quality demands on project basis. During the engineering phase you work closely together with a multidisciplinary project team to deliver a Functional Specification. After that, you are responsible for the detailed design, programming and testing of the PLC software. When the engineering phase is finished, you will go to the customer site to commission the material handling system. During this commissioning phase you carry out functional testing of the PLC hardware and software. You are also responsible for integrating your PLC software in the overall control system and assist in the customer acceptance testing. During the execution of the project you closely monitor the available budget and the agreed schedule, and you take the appropriate actions when necessary. Your profile: A technical degree (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Industrial Automation, Computer Science or Control Technology) at least at bachelor level Previous experience of material handling domain will be an added advantage Desired experience level: 8 years and above in Project engineering environment (system integration, solution design, project delivery) Knowledge of design practices and qualification requirements, systems development lifecycle Able to develop PLC applications (TIA Portal, Siemens S7-300 & 400 series, Siemens S7-1500 series ) Knowledge of Allen Bradly / other PLC platform is added advantage. Has knowledge of SCADA applications in relevant platform (WinCC, WebFactory, …) Able to develop application for safety systems using relevant platform e.g. Siemens safety PLC Knowledge of fieldbus technology: Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, AS-I, CC-Link Communicating with regular progress reports, aware of Earned Value Management, managing deadlines and milestones Feeds back lessons learned from the project into product, process and tooling Has experience of working with Cross Functional, diverse and global teams Strong analytical skills Proactive, flexible, pragmatic and hands on attitude. Ability to adapt to change with ease, capable of multi-tasking and can manage a variety of complicated tasks. Wiling to go extra miles to develop Control competency in the department. Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
