We are looking for Control Systems Engineer to join a European Machine Systems group responsible for the development of machine control systems across all machines designed in Europe. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering modern control system technologies, working on projects that move from early definition through to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and develop control system architectures, including I/O allocation, controller layouts, and supporting electrical schematics.
• Work with wider engineering teams to establish interface requirements between electronic controllers, sensors, and machine subsystems.
• Contribute to risk assessments and design reviews, including FMEA activities, functional safety considerations, and compliance checks.
• Plan and carry out validation work to confirm system performance and readiness for release.
• Support development builds and production introduction by investigating faults, identifying root causes, and driving practical solutions.

Required Skills:

• Solid experience in developing and delivering electronic control systems and software within complex products or machinery.
• Good working knowledge of CAN-based networks and Ethernet communication in a control systems environment.
• Experience using calibration and analysis tools such as CANape, CANalyzer, or CANoe.

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience supporting products through multiple development stages, from concept to production.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams across systems, software, and manufacturing.
