Location: Base Metal Refineries (BMR), Rustenburg
The purpose of this role is to ensure contractors meet safety, access, and compliance requirements from onboarding through execution to offboarding, while managing contractor data and reporting systems on Contractor Performance Management (CPM) Framework
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Safety
• Consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
Performance and Delivery
• Coordinate and maintain Contractor onboarding & offboarding , this includes but not limited to:• Validating contractor safety files, certifications, and legal compliance prior to site access.
• Administer contractor management system, manage site access permissions, and monitor real-time headcount.
• Provide assurance support and generate compliance data for audits and governance reviews.
• Facilitate the contractor end-to-end life cycle process of the on and off-boarding process. Ensure all safety, compliance, and systems close-out steps are completed.
• Implement the required Contractor Performance Management (CPM) in line with Group Standards (SHE Risk & Assurance system procedures, systems and standards)
• Support planning and implementation of operational SHE Legal Compliance Assessments.
• Review and analyse operational incident investigations, risk assessments and audit reports to formulate of key focus areas, recommendations, trend and data analysis for improvement
• Monthly contractors review and reporting in line with business requirements
• Develop and maintain contractors database according to scopes of work
• Liaise with various functions such as commercial / supply chain / Project representatives and SoW owners to deliver on operational mandates
People & Teams
• Actively engage as a team member in all team processes – all relevant stakeholders
Compliance 
• Ensure compliance to internal and external regulatory, legislative and permitting requirements

• Tertiary degree or diploma in Technical, Safety, Health, Environment or Risk
Desirable Qualification
• Courses in Safety management systems ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 would be advantageous updated
• Proof of registration with SACPCMP would be advantageous
Certifications
• Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license
• SAMTRAC would be advantageous
Experience
• 1- 3 years relevant experience in Safety and Risk / Engineering or equivalent in a processing environment
• Knowledge of OHS legislation, Systems experience (contractor management platforms, access control systems, Passport360, Navigator+ and Electronic Manning Board (EMB)
• Project management and or cost control (advantageous)
• Data analysis – generate required reports on Technical KPIs in line with CPM framework (P360 / Nav+ / EMB)
Technical skills
• Proficient in data interpretation and reporting.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused.
• Advanced stakeholder engagement skills.
• Advanced skill in Safety Systems.
Additional requirement will include:
• Must be able to do standby and/or overtime as and when required
• Will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
