This role is based in Mokopane, Limpopo.
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
• Oversee consistent application of Safety & Health principles in all discipline interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities.
• Facilitate deployment and implementation of a site-specific CPM deployment strategy to agreed timelines and targets.
• Facilitate retrofitting of existing SoW in execution against CPM framework and requirements, to identify and close out gaps in partnership with Company Representative
• Deliver on-going training and support to Company Representatives, Line Management, Contract Management Organisation and Suppliers on CPM E2E process, as the site expert in CPM process, standards and requirements.
• Conduct regular site verification of commercial, payment, legal, tax compliance at the various operations and report on non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of CPM Performance Metrics to monitor site overall E2E CPM Process, Site level, Section & Contract performance.
• Align with Category and Commercial teams on general query resolution effectiveness and user experiences, looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Participate in the development and implementation of a contractor feedback system to ensure all contractor suggestions, complaints and recommendations are adequately addressed.
• Identify opportunities to consolidate similar SOW demands to single submission & approval, aligned with DOA requirements.
• Contribute to the design and implement a CPM E2E process monitoring methodology and KPI´s, to measure the health of CPM process at site.
• Advise SoW development and mobilise key stakeholders to ensure that the SoW is clearly defined, the required risk assessments are completed, the SHE/SP requirements are met, and KPIs are developed, and SoW submitted.
• Implement a purpose-driven, high-performing culture that is aligned with the company values, is inclusive and promotes diversity, supports engagement and fosters continuous improvement to work processes.
• Ensure compliance to Anglo American internal and external compliance (legislative, regulatory, permitting) requirements.
This role is at a band 6 reporting to the Section Manager Contractor Management.
• An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent OR Relevant tertiary qualification and proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity.
Experience, Technical knowledge and Skills
• Minimum of 4 years relevant experience
• Previous exposure and knowledge of day-to-day mining operations.
• Contractor management experience would be advantageous
• Knowledge and experience of socio-economic development and specifically rural community development.
• Strategy execution.
• Working knowledge of contract and supplier development.
• Knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative Frameworks pertaining to procurement and understanding how this impacts operations.
