Contract Recruiter I (High-volume)

Zerocater is looking for our next talent team member to own hiring for our catering operations department while providing a world-class candidate experience. You’ll be full-cycle recruiting while playing the role of a strategic business partner to stakeholders within the catering operations department to improve processes and to ensure we are hiring and onboarding the right people. Hiring is a top initiative and you will be able to make an impact that is felt company-wide. This role will function as more than a recruiter but a respected subject matter expert invested in candidate experience and creating partnership to increase our confidence in hiring.

This role will report directly to the Head of recruiting and collaborates closely with our HR team with candidate hand-offs. The ideal candidate has a high level of emotional intelligence, a passion for pairing top talent to the right opportunities, and thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment. There are times we have to make hires quickly in a 2-3 day time frame and priorities are constantly shifting. We are also up against external competition for the same candidate pool which can add another layer of difficulty to securing talent. Being skilled at moving quickly without sacrificing quality, and unafraid to make tough calls when a candidate isn’t the right fit will be crucial to success in this role as we enter an exciting phase of growth.

What you will do:

• Run a high-volume recruiting process in a full-cycle capacity (sourcing, screening, scheduling, closing, onboarding).

• Creatively source various channels to build a pipeline of qualified candidates across multiple skill sets and geographies to meet hiring goals.

• Partner closely with our Catering Operations department to help improve the hiring process and reduce time to hire.

• Own the candidate experience from screening through onboarding, balancing a high-touch approach with clear expectations and accountability.

• As the point of first contact for many job seekers, you’ll play an essential role in being a culture advocate for Zerocater.

Qualifications for success:

• 1+ years of experience recruiting high volume roles across different geographies (preferably in an internal recruiting capacity).

• Tools savvy with proficiency in ATS systems (Greenhouse preferred) and other sourcing/scheduling/recruiting tools (Indeed, ModernLoop, Workstream, Handshake, etc.).

• Strong time management, prioritization, and results-driven mentality with a high attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

• Willingness to go above and beyond to create a candidate-centric recruiting experience.

Note: This position will be a 3-5 month contract to hire. The role will be remote to start. Should we open an office, it could become hybrid so ideally you are located in the Austin area.
