Contract MHP (IMental Health Professional-Independent Contractor)

As a mental health professional, your primary responsibility is to conduct diagnostic assessments and provide one-on-one therapy to adult patients. You will work with individuals who may be in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment or those seeking mental health services exclusively. Additionally, you will be involved in mental health treatment planning for patients who are not enrolled in SUD services, ensuring a tailored approach to support each patient's unique needs. This position is offered on a contractual basis and utilizes telehealth platforms for remote interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Providing Diagnostic assessments

Providing clinical services including Integrated Dual Disorders approaches through individual psychotherapy.

Provide mental health assessment, ensuring proper identification of mental health and substance use concerns, as well as barriers to recovery and stability

Individual therapy

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or closely related field; AND

Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Minnesota as an independent behavioral health professional (i.e. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) Psychologist, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

Must know and understand implications of Minnesota Statutes chapter 245G and Minnesota Statutes; chapter 245A (Human Services Licensing Act-HSLA), sections 626.556 (Maltreatment of Minors Act-MOMA), 626.557 (Vulnerable Adult Act-VAA), and 626.5572 (VAA definitions).

Must be willing to submit to and pass DHS Background Study.

Must have basic computer skills and ability to use office equipment such as copier, scanner, and printer.

This Independent Contractor position is a 70% / 30% Contract.  Independent Contract receives 70% of the reimbursement for each service provided.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
