Job Description

Robots & Pencils is seeking a Contentful CMS Architect to join a multi-disciplinary team building a modern, unified digital experience platform for a large multi-venue hospitality and entertainment organization.

We are looking for a Contentful CMS Architect to own and design the information architecture that powers content delivery across mobile, web, and kiosk channels.

You’ll work closely with the lead architect, product lead, and integration teams to ensure content is structured, scalable, and optimized for headless delivery via Uniform (DXP/CDP). This role focuses on technical information architecture rather than software development and is ideal for someone with strong CMS expertise and experience bridging business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

•
Design and maintain Contentful content types, references, taxonomy, and locale structures.

•
Ensure content models support headless delivery to Uniform across mobile, web, and kiosk channels.

•
Define and implement governance, best practices, and workflows for content editors.

•
Collaborate with the lead architect and product lead to align content architecture with overall platform strategy.

•
Support integration with MuleSoft for API-led content delivery.

•
Translate marketing and operational requirements into scalable, maintainable content structures.

•
Produce clear documentation for content models, naming conventions, and editorial workflows.

•
Assist the marketing team in adopting and understanding the CMS structure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

•
2+ years hands-on Contentful experience in production environments.

•
Expertise in content modeling, including types, references, rich text, linked entries, and localization.

•
Knowledge of headless delivery APIs (Delivery API, Preview API, GraphQL).

•
Experience structuring content for DXP or personalization platforms (Uniform or similar).

•
Multi-environment management and workflow configuration.

•
Strong information architecture skills, including content governance, asset referencing, and documentation.

•
Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

•
Experience with Uniform or similar DXP/composable platforms.

•
Familiarity with MACH principles (Microservices, API-first, Cloud-native, Headless).

•
Exposure to MuleSoft or API-led integrations.

•
Hospitality, gaming, or retail content experience.

•
Basic GraphQL knowledge and localization/multi-language content architecture.
