ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Content Analyst I in our Digital Classification team, you will be the "architect of data." You will transform raw digital signals into actionable insights by accurately categorizing the vast landscape of the digital economy. From the latest VOD series to the newest products on E-commerce giants, your classification work helps Nielsen's clients understand exactly what consumers are watching, buying, and browsing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
• Precision Classification and QC: Daily categorization and QC of diverse data streams, including Mobile Apps, E-commerce products (Amazon, Flipkart, etc.), Smartphone web traffic, and Video-on-Demand (VOD) content.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering and Tech Ops teams to refine classification and troubleshoot data anomalies.
• Process Integrity: Master and implement Nielsen’s internal protocols to ensure global data consistency.
• Quality & Timeliness: Deliver high-quality data outputs that meet strict client specifications and business deadlines.
• Adaptive Learning: Stay updated on evolving digital trends (new apps, streaming platforms, and e-com categories) to maintain classification accuracy.
• Graduate Freshers - BSc, BCom, BA, BMS/BBA, BCA/BCS or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in content moderation or market research is a plus
• Hands-on Microsoft Suite/Google Docs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint etc.)
• Possess strong analytical skills, be responsible for data analysis, QC and interpreting the same
• Knowledge running SQL queries and Python scripting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Required to be a team player but can also work independently
• Should be productive, self-driven, able to take ownership, prioritize and manage expectations
• Detail and process oriented
• Would be required to work on some weekends/holidays for a 2-3 hours based on business needs
