JOB TITLE: Content & Communication Specialist
LOCATION: Jakarta, hybrid
CONTRACT TYPE: Permanent, full-time
REPORTING TO: Marketing & Strategy Manager
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Content & Communications Specialist exists to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality in both Acorn’s external messaging and internal communications. This role is responsible for producing high-quality written content across marketing, business development, and thought leadership outputs, while also managing structured internal communications that keep teams aligned and informed. The successful candidate will translate strategic direction into clear, engaging, and on-brand copy across multiple channels.
The Content & Communications Specialist will take ownership of internal communication processes, ensuring information is shared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner. Success in this role means stronger brand voice externally and improved organisational clarity internally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own and deliver high-quality copy across social media contents, proposals, website content, articles, and thought leadership materials.
Ensure all written outputs are clear, consistent, and aligned with Acorn’s tone of voice.
Translate strategic and technical inputs into accessible, engaging content.
Manage internal communications across the business, ensuring timely and structured information sharing.
Draft internal announcements, updates, and leadership communications.
Maintain consistency and clarity across internal messaging channels.
Work closely with BD, strategy, and leadership to support campaigns and proposals.
Take feedback constructively and iterate quickly on written outputs.
Ensure accuracy, attention to detail, and proofreading across all deliverables.
Identify opportunities to improve internal communication processes and content quality.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in content creation, communications, marketing, or a similar role.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong copywriting skills across multiple formats (social media, website, proposals, articles).
Strong tone of voice control, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
Strong stakeholder communication skills; able to gather input and align messaging.
Clear thinking and ability to simplify complex or technical ideas.
Strong editing, proofreading, and attention to detail.
Highly organized with strong time management; able to manage multiple deadlines.
Experience managing or supporting internal communications is a plus.
Proactive, self-driven, and able to take ownership of tasks and processes.
