Shape and strengthen KYC risk frameworks within a complex regulatory environment

The RoleWe are seeking a Consultant to lead and enhance KYC risk management capabilities for a leading financial institution. This role focuses on ensuring robust alignment with regulatory expectations while proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the KYC lifecycle. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and support a strong compliance culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and oversee the KYC risk management framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and internal policies

• Identify, assess, and monitor KYC-related risks across onboarding, periodic, and event-driven reviews

• Develop and maintain risk methodologies, assessments, and control standards for KYC processes

• Analyze KYC metrics and trends to identify emerging risks and control gaps

• Partner with compliance, operations, audit, and technology teams to support risk mitigation and remediation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in KYC, AML, or financial crime risk management within financial services or consulting

• Understanding of KYC, CDD, and EDD regulatory requirements

• Experience developing risk frameworks, methodologies, and control standards

• Ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and present risk insights clearly

• Analytical mindset with experience identifying trends, risks, and control weaknesses

Bonus Points For

• Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or internal reviews

• Familiarity with global regulatory frameworks and multi-jurisdictional environments

• Experience working with KYC data, metrics, and reporting tools

• Exposure to transformation or process improvement initiatives within financial crime
