Consultant Intensivist – Remote Australia | Unique ICU Opportunity

Are you an experienced Intensive Care Specialist looking for a challenging and rewarding next step in your career? This is an exciting opportunity to join one of Australia’s most unique and remote ICUs, offering both professional growth and a truly adventurous lifestyle.

The Role
You will join a small, collaborative team of ICU consultants providing care to a diverse patient population. The newly redeveloped ICU admits around 650 adults and 50 paediatric patients each year, with approximately 95% of admissions being emergency cases. You will manage a wide range of complex, high-acuity cases rarely seen elsewhere in Australia.

This position offers:

• Generous remuneration package: $460,000 – $670,000+ per annum (inclusive of allowances, superannuation, salary packaging and retention payments)
• Relocation assistance and private practice allowance

About You

• Fellowship of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) or equivalent
• Current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA
• Paediatric ICU experience is desirable but not essential
• Strong interest in education, quality improvement, and service development
