Job Description: Automation Tester

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Automation Tester to design, develop, and execute automated tests that ensure the quality, stability, and performance of our applications. The ideal candidate will have strong technical capabilities, experience with automation frameworks, and a solid understanding of QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.

• Build and enhance automation frameworks using industry‑standard tools and best practices.

• Analyze requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to create effective test plans.

• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure consistent execution across environments.

• Identify defects, document findings, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.

• Perform root-cause analysis for automation failures and optimize scripts for reliability.

• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports, dashboards, and documentation.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.

• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.

• Experience in API test automation using REST Assured, Postman, or Karate.

• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with Git and test management tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Understanding of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

• Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust).

• Containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).

• ISTQB or similar QA certifications.

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Detail‑oriented with a strong quality mindset.

• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
