DIGITAL FINANCE.

Having been involved in the development of the underlying regulatory rules and guidance for the Payments sector, we are extremely well-placed to advise and support firms across the payments landscape. This includes working with all types of firms, from small money remittance firms working in the migrant remittances market, to FX firms, card acquirers, innovative FinTech firms looking to exploit the opportunities afforded by PSD2 and open banking, e-money firms looking to challenge the services offered by traditional banks, through to banks themselves.

 

SUCCES FACTORS.

Learn and be part of at least two Subject Matter Leader (SML) groups.

Work towards having retained clients you are the Lead Consultant on which in aggregate are at least 2.5 times your base salary. You should be Consultant 2 on clients which are of a complexity or type which broaden your knowledge and experience such that as you mature as a Consultant, you can become the Lead Consultant relative to those clients.

Chargeability of at least 75%.

Have a clearly documented development plan as to what you will learn, how and when.

Your clients should be serviced as per their contractual terms and within an agreed profitability range.

 

ROLE PURPOSE.

The purpose is to play a leading role in providing best-in-class consultancy services to our clients.

To ensure our clients are beyond satisfied with the quality of services they have engaged the firm for, and we deliver on our contractual commitments.

To develop and own client book and maintain a professional network from which to leverage guidance/advise on potential commercial opportunities.

 

ROLE RESPONSABILITIES.

CLIENT

Manage and develop designated client relationships.

Deliver on work as detailed in the contractual scope of engagement to ensure a high-level of client satisfaction.

Provide support and guidance to clients in relation to FCA regulatory obligations.

Assist with or personally undertaking periodic compliance monitoring reviews and providing clients with formal reports.

Support clients with the completion of FCA periodic returns.

Ensure that established Quality Assessment procedures are followed, and which are in place for the team to ensure a high-level of client satisfaction.

Carry out work relative to firms that wish to apply for FCA authorisation, to vary their FCA Permission, effect a Change in Control or a Change of Legal Status.

Support and acquire knowledge by working with ‘Subject Matter Leader(s) (SML(s))’ on topics as agreed from time to time relative to providing technical advice to clients, the team, identifying commercial opportunities relative to regulatory changes, thought leadership relative to those topics and also any changes to our consulting methodology.

Inform clients of relevant changes in regulation and carry out, or direct, the updating of any relevant Manuals, policies, procedures and forms to enable the firm to comply with any new requirements.

Ensure your client chargeability target is met or exceeded.

Reviewing client marketing materials to ensure such meet regulatory requirements.

Agreeing and negotiating terms of new client instructions.

Be aware of time being booked to client engagements which you are Consultant 1, for with a view to ensuring that clients are serviced within acceptable profitability metrics. This includes where you may deploy an Associate Consultant on the account, or more senior management may be involved.

Provide clients with regulatory training, as agreed on the basis of established competence and capability.

TECHNICAL

Produce regulatory updates to clients on topics pertinent to the market.

Personally do or organise and oversee the creation of compliance documentation relevant to each clients' business as it is established and as it develops.

As agreed with your supervisor and/or the relevant SML lead, research specific technical issues and provide the results of that research to your colleagues and clients.

Provide thought leadership and assist with writing relevant articles for publication.

When providing any proforma to clients, ensure that only approved and current versions are used.

Ensure all people processes are adhered to, including preparing for your monthly one to ones and completion of performance reviews.

OPERATIONAL

Responsibility for own timesheet completion (CMP+), which should be updated after each task/as work is done with all to be completed at the end of the business day in order for the firm to monitor and measure client productivity.

Ensure all internal systems are up to date by maintaining relevant and appropriate records of all activities carried out including, but not limited to: Kantata, BambooHR, Salesforce, PortALL.

Be aware of, monitor and deliver on chargeability targets as relevant for your role and as agreed.

To support and recommend any improvements to the internal systems used by the team and the company.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Identify new business opportunities (cross selling) within our existing client base and in particular the clients you service.

 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION.

Regulatory experience in a role gained in investment management, wealth management, broker/dealer firm, professional compliance services or regulatory services.

Relevant professional qualification.

Ability to ‘hit the ground running’ to take on established clients as part of a team.

Ability to advise on wide range of business models.

Awareness of the commercial aspects of consultancy.

This is a full-time, permanent role worked Monday to Friday on a hybrid basis (2days/week at home and 3 days/week in the office).
