Consultant – Data Warehousing, BI & Reporting

Purpose of Job

As a consultant, you will leverage data and analytics to deliver strategic insights and help clients drive informed decision-making. You will design and implement innovative BI and reporting solutions that optimize business performance, ensure data accuracy, and create measurable competitive advantage.

BI Solutions & Delivery

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex BI products, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes and system configurations.

• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.

• Plan, assign, and oversee team tasks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery with accurate reporting to project leads

• Provide leadership on process improvements, client requests, and new deliverables transition.

Client Engagement & Insights

• Partner with clients to understand requirements and translate them into crisp, actionable, and visually compelling BI solutions.

• Oversee direct and indirect client communications to ensure clear alignment and delivery.

• Present complex insights in a clear, concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Analytics, Innovation & Agility

• Apply advanced analytics and visualization techniques to support data-driven decision-making.

• Continuously optimize processes, embrace change, and leverage emerging BI technologies to create best-in-class solutions.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, proactively learning new technologies, business domains, and project management practices.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate across onshore and offshore teams to ensure seamless execution and communication.

• Support project managers with plans, risk mitigation, and progress reporting.

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge-sharing.

• Exhibit flexibility in taking on new and challenging problems, demonstrating ownership and effective task management.

You'll need to have::
• Proven hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.

• Strong expertise in SQL for querying, analysis, and data extraction.

• Demonstrated ability in data visualization, dashboard design, and interpretation of insights.

• High proficiency in MS Excel and modern BI platforms.

• Deep understanding of BI data management best practices and analytics.

• 4–7 years of relevant consulting or BI industry experience.

• Solid exposure to Agile methodologies.

• Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Engineering/Master’s degree from a Tier-I/Tier-II institution in Computer Science or related field.

• Experience with BIRT, Business Intelligence Development Studio, or other BI platforms.

• Familiarity with data pipelines, data quality, data architecture, and database management systems (DBMS).

• Exposure to cloud BI environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

• Prior experience in the Pharma/Life Sciences industry.

• Python coding skills for analytics or automation.

• Strong capability to work independently and within teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
