Position Description
As a Full-Time Construction Technician, you are the backbone of our expansion. You will be responsible for all
aspects of laying, maintaining, and splicing fiber facilities to bring high-speed broadband to our service areas.
This role is perfect for someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in the "unseen"; work that keeps a
community connected.
What You Will Do
Fiber Optic Installation: Assist in underground and aerial deployments, including digging trenches,
laying conduit, and pulling fiber cables.
Precision Splicing: Execute fiber splicing with high attention to detail to ensure signal integrity and
system performance.
Equipment Setup: Install telecom infrastructure such as distribution hubs and network terminals,
ensuring secure mounting and connectivity.
Safety & Collaboration: Work respectfully with your crew to ensure projects are completed safely and
efficiently.
Maintenance & Stewardship: Support routine repairs and maintain accurate records of your work to
ensure long-term network sustainability.
What We’re Looking For
Reliability: A valid driver’s license is required (CDL preferred) and the ability to safely tow trailers.
Physical Stamina: Comfort performing manual labor (lifting 50+ lbs) in various weather conditions.
Technical Aptitude: Ability to read construction plans and blueprints; previous telecom or construction
experience is a plus.
Team Spirit: A professional conduct that reflects well on the company during public-facing projects.
Commitment: Willingness to participate in a monthly weekend on-call rotation and address emergency
situations.
Salary & Location
Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour.
Location: In-person (requires daily driving over a large geographic area).
