Summary:
A Construction Scheduling Coordinator at Clearway supports the development, maintenance, and updating of CPM schedules for construction projects. The role involves coordinating schedule updates, tracking project progress, maintaining schedule documentation, supporting reporting and analysis, and assisting project teams with scheduling-related deliverables. This position works closely with Estimating, Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Site Personnel, and other business and technical teams across the company to support project execution and organizational objectives.
Location: Clearway's Head Office – Maple, ON.
Hours of Operations: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
As a heavy civil contractor, Clearway’s workforce requirements can fluctuate with project schedules and anticipated contract awards. We are currently seeking skilled candidates to join our team and encourage qualified applicants to submit their application.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the development, maintenance, and updating of construction project schedules using Primavera P6 and, where required, Microsoft Project.
Assist in identifying major milestones, critical approvals, long-lead procurement items, and key schedule constraints.
Follow up with Site Personnel, Project Coordinators, Project Managers, and Senior Management to verify progress, schedule updates, and upcoming work.
Update schedule logic, sequencing, and durations based on resource availability, material availability, site conditions, and other project constraints, as directed.
Prepare and maintain schedule logs, update records, and other schedule-related documentation on a regular basis.
Support the development of schedule logic, constraints, and activity durations based on production rates, manpower, and input from technical and project teams.
Assist in preparing schedule narratives, progress reports, and other contractually required schedule deliverables.
Support site progress assessments through site walks, quantity tracking, and coordination with field teams.
Assist in preparing and maintaining schedule and project controls reports, including S-curves, cash flow forecasts, earned value metrics, milestone tracking, variance analysis, and progress dashboards.
Assist in developing and issuing regular project controls reports to communicate schedule status, forecast completion, key risks, delays, and corrective actions.
Complete additional administrative and coordination tasks as required by Senior Management.
Requirements:
University or College education in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
2+ years of experience in construction-related activities.
Knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and report preparation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Bluebeam Revu is an asset.
Strong organizational, coordination, and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, updates, and schedule-related documentation.
Ability to collect, organize, and analyze progress information from multiple project stakeholders.
Understanding of basic CPM scheduling principles, including logic ties, critical path, float, milestones, and schedule updates.
Familiarity with project controls reporting, including progress tracking, S-curves, cash flow reporting, variance analysis, and earned value concepts, is an asset.
Experience in civil, infrastructure, transit, rail, or linear construction projects is an asset.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with field and office staff.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn new systems and technology quickly.
Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work under deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada – no work permit sponsorship is available for this position.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (CAD)
